What started as a schoolyard rivalry quickly became a nationwide obsession. South Africa's much-loved handjietennis/hand tennis turns playgrounds, streets, and backyards into battlegrounds of skill, speed, and swagger. Every rally brings players closer, every spin sparks competition, and every game is a chance to prove yourself.

But something was missing...where was the gear that matched the energy, passion, and skill of the players?

That's when GRIP RIP was born. Not just gear, but a movement. We create next-level hand tennis gear that helps every player - whether you're just starting out or already a hand tennis champ - Grip It, Rip it, and Own it!

MESSAGE from the founders

Hi, we are Chantalle, Björn and Mieke, the family team behind Grip Rip Premium Hand Tennis Gear.

Our kids, Björn and Mieke, were playing hand tennis in the kitchen one evening and the random bouncy ball was not cutting it. Their hands were sweaty from all the action and they kept missing spin shots that they were trying to practice. In a frustrated moan of "Argh! I wish there was a hand tennis brand that made specialised hand tennis balls and gloves!" the idea for Grip Rip was sparked. After researching, we found that there were no dedicated hand tennis/ handjietennis brands in South Africa. Well, we are problem-solvers and we did just that!

Everything we do is fuelled by our passion to provide hand tennis players with THE BEST! Since day one, we have invested a great deal of research, blood, sweat and tears to bring you innovative and premium gear and apparel that you can be proud of and that will inspire you to play your best.
